Higher Education

Location: Indiana University – Columbus, Indiana

Description: The historic Republic Newspaper building has been a National Historic Landmark since 2012. Indiana University purchased the building in 2018, and renovated the glass and steel structure to house their new Master of Architecture program. The building was designed by renowned architect Myron Goldsmith in the late 1960’s. The renovation included new classroom and art spaces with new technology. A new shop area was built for students to construct their own structures. As part of the renovation, a new boiler system and temperature controls were installed.
